1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website, stratum.cenvero.com, create an account, buy a licence, or install and run Cenvero Stratum (“the software”). “Cenvero”, “we” and “us” mean Cenvero, which runs this website. “You” means the person or organisation using it. If you accept these terms for an organisation, you confirm that you may do so on its behalf.
You accept these terms when you create an account or place an order. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy notice.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Tell us straight away through the contact form if you think someone else has used it.
3. Your licence
- Per node and per term. A licence lets you run the software on a set number of nodes (servers) for the term you bought. Each node you activate uses one of those places.
- What the plan includes. Your plan sets the features a node may use and its total bandwidth, as described when you bought it.
- Upgrades only. A plan can be upgraded to a higher one, but not downgraded.
- The free Lab plan is for non-commercial use only.
- Licensed, not sold. You may not resell, share or sublicense the software or your licence keys, work around the licence checks, or take the software apart, except where the law allows it.
- Your licence key is private. Anyone holding it can install the software under your licence.
4. Orders, payment and activation
- Prices are shown at checkout, per node and per term, in the currency shown there. An invoice is raised when you place the order.
- You pay manually, following the payment instructions shown at checkout, and then send us the payment reference and proof of payment.
- We verify every payment by hand before we issue a licence. If we cannot verify a payment, we tell you, and you can send it again.
- Coupons apply only under their own conditions, and are checked again when your payment is verified.
- Activation is per node. Each server you install the software on asks to use your licence, and you confirm it in your account. A licence is tied to the hardware of the nodes it runs on; if you replace a server, ask to move the licence to the new hardware from your account. For terms longer than three months, activation can take up to one business day.
5. Renewal
- Automatic renewal happens only if you switch it on in your account settings and your wallet holds enough to pay for the renewal. You can leave single licences out.
- With it on, a renewal invoice is raised seven days before a licence expires, and paid from your wallet when the balance covers it. If it does not, we remind you to pay the invoice or top up.
- Without it, we remind you before your licence expires, and you renew from your account when you choose to.
- A renewal extends the licence from its current expiry date, so renewing early loses you no time.
6. When a licence lapses
We warn you in the week before a licence expires, and a 14-day grace period follows its expiry. After that, the licence is frozen: changes to the nodes under it are blocked until you renew. Running workloads and your tenants’ traffic keep going. The same applies if a licence is revoked.
7. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable once the licence is issued, except where the law requires otherwise.
8. Pre-release and early-access builds
Pre-release, early-access and release-candidate builds, and the licences issued for them, are provided as-is, for evaluation. They may change or be withdrawn at any time, and are not meant for running production workloads.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not use the software or this website for anything unlawful.
- Do not use them to attack, probe or disrupt other people’s networks or systems, or to send spam.
- Respect export controls and sanctions: do not export, provide or use the software where the law forbids it.
- Do not interfere with our service, its licence checks or its limits, or try to reach data that is not yours.
10. Your tenants and workloads
You are responsible for your own tenants (your customers) and the workloads, traffic and data you run for them, for your agreements with them, and for meeting the obligations you have as their provider. Their traffic and data never pass through us. You are also responsible for your nodes’ configuration and for keeping your own backups.
11. Plugins and the marketplace
- Plugins come from their developers, who are responsible for them. Unless a plugin is published by Cenvero, installing it is an agreement between you and its developer.
- A node checks each plugin’s signature before it installs it. That shows who signed the plugin, not that Cenvero has reviewed it.
- We may remove plugins and stores from the marketplace, and revoke a developer’s signing certificate. A plugin signed with a revoked certificate is switched off on every node.
12. The developer programme
- You apply to build plugins, and Cenvero decides whether to accept you.
- Keep your signing key secret. Everything signed with it counts as yours.
- Your plugins must be lawful and safe, do only what their description says, and respect the people who install them.
- You keep your rights in your plugins. By publishing one in the marketplace, you allow Cenvero to host, list and deliver it to the nodes that install it.
- The identity check is optional. A store needs it before Cenvero can give the store its Verified badge.
- If you break these terms, we may revoke your signing certificates and remove your plugins and stores.
13. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the service at any time, and ask us through the contact form to close your account.
- We may suspend your account, or revoke your licences, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, do not pay, or use the service unlawfully. Where it is reasonable, we warn you first.
- What these terms say about payment, liability and governing law still applies after your account ends.
14. Warranties and liability
We provide the software and the service with care, but without any warranties beyond those the law requires.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Cenvero in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We give you notice of significant changes, by email or on this site, before they take effect, and the date at the top changes with them. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can stop using the service.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Cenvero is registered, and disputes go to its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact form.
