Stratum v1.0.0-rc.45

Release candidate. Continues the Stratum 1.0 preview — recommended for evaluation and staging. Hold production rollouts for the stable v1.0.0 release.

Improvements

The installer now verifies that the packet engine (firewall, NAT, gateway forwarding, anti-spoofing) can actually load on your server's kernel before it changes anything. On an older kernel where it can't — most notably a stock Debian 12 install — it stops with clear, OS-specific kernel-upgrade instructions instead of installing a node that comes up but silently does no packet processing. When run interactively it can also upgrade the kernel and reboot for you, then finish the install automatically. Ubuntu, Proxmox, and Debian 13+ already ship a new-enough kernel and are unaffected.

Installation

This is a pre-release (rc) build. It runs only on a node with a pre-release license — the installer reads the channel from your license, so a node on this key only ever pulls beta/rc updates, and a stable license cannot install it. Run it once your pre-release license is active:
